The navigation of the VW site is very much seprate form everything else on the site. It has its own characteristics. The navigation resembles that of a music player, and has very cleam rollovers. Intigrated into the navigationis the search engine. The searh engine has very similar rollers to the actual navigation. Finally the navigation box carries the VW logo, which has its own glowing rollover as well. The navigation is very unique because it is very detailed, and clean looking, but it is also very easy to manage and easy to follow.
The header graphics are the main graphics on the VW website, and take up the majority of the website. The Headers are very well organized through out the website, and show a great deal of hierarchy to many of the other objects of the website. The Header in the website is clearly the main eye catcher of the site, and even though many times with an image that large alot of the other content gets lost, the VW website has intigrated its large image to act as, not only the main focal point, but also as a background for the site and a border for the entire site. The VW site uses the size of the header image very well to emphasize hierarchy and demension.
The VW site is a very well managed site and keeps consistency throught every page.Every part of the website is very well sonsistent to the main feel of the home page. The site doesn't detach, just because the next page is a different topic. Each page is keeps the same layout and hierarchy structure of that of the home page, with only images and headliners changing.Consistency is very important to web developer, because no one wants to go to a website that doesn't look intigrated with each page and concusing. Consistaneny is extreamly important for websites, and I think that the VW site handles this very well.

As big as an an automotive site is, Voltswagon is very clean and very organized with the layouts. The site has a very unique navigation bar, a huge header, and veiwable sub-text and sub-content areas through out the site.
The layout is very organized and displays great hierarchy throught the entire site, not just the home page. Not only do things line up very well, but objects through out the sites are in very organied, and specific groups that do not over power one another.
Also, the only real complicated graphic through out the site is the navigation box, The VW site doesn't need flashie graphics or complicated animations, it works using simple layouts and clear hierarchy.
